Miracast will also serve as a useful tool for you if you’re preparing to give a big presentation at your work. Miracast is excellent if you’re a teacher as it lets you seamlessly connect your devices to a projector, giving you the ability to quickly display study tips, historical documentaries, dissection diagrams or the answers to last week’s English test. Fortunately, Miracast is here to let you quickly display your mobile device’s screen on any Miracast supported system, including televisions and projectors. Sharing your phone between friends so that they can see a short YouTube video is often not worth the hassle. Honestly, given the exorbitant price of chips in general, I wouldn't want to do anything new.Connecting your device to Miracast is easy there are no clunky menus as Miracast dongles and devices are simply receivers for content. I can't afford to purchase a new video card that supports Miracast, given the current market/climate, nor would I want to invest that kind of money into this machine (AMD FX8350 w/32GB RAM). My discussion with the technician at NVidia was what prompted me to contact AMD.

I thought maybe AMD would have an option I could afford but was surprised to find out that they removed Miracast support from ALL of their drivers quite a while ago.īasically, I'm telling you that I've already done what you're telling me to do. The drivers for my current card DO NOT support HDCP over wireless and they won't be receiving that in any future updates. However, they were quite clear that I certainly couldn't count on future drivers having that support. I've discussed this with the folks at NVidia and they've made it clear that I may or may not be able to purchase a new video card that has drivers that would support HDCP over wireless.currently. I should ignore what the folks at NVidia have told me and try reinstalling their drivers, which they've told me no longer support HDCP over wireless (in other words they don't support Miracast), yet again?
